Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

At approximately six a girl from Border's walks into McDs and orders. I chat with her about their big event last night (due to them being the only bookstore in the area staying open past twelve and selling Harry Potter books). She tells me that there's already a line extended to the WalMart wall. Oh my goodness! About two hundred people are already in line.
At ten oclock I was planning on heading over and joining the line myself. Unfortunately this plan would be alone because, alas, I could convince none of you to join me in my merry quest to get this fabolous new book. But Chris offered to let me stay later. So I did work. (There's no way I can afford to turn down money).
Therefore it wasn't until twelve am that I was able to dash over to Borders. Once at the WalMart plaza I was astounded! The half of the parking lot that Borders was on was completely filled and cars were overflowing into the WalMart parkinglot. Furthermore there was still a line about one hundred people. Amazing. I waited my turn patiently, looking in at those who are enjoying themselves. Borders was never more packed.
At about one-fifteen I finally receive my ticket, number 561, and I am told that they are calling those with the reserved tickets up by fifties. Therefore, they imagine that by three am I should be called. Oh my dear! Well I wander into the store, which is a place a fire marshal would be scared of entering, and pick up a few books (like the boxed set of the first six Harry Potter and the second and third books of the Sisterhood of the Traveling pants). That's when I spot Jamie Cheney.... my blood chills... and I make small talk- hoping to move on quickly. However, they have an extra ticket (296} and are willing to give it to me.
My conclusion is I didn't sleep nearly as much as I should have because this sixth Harry Potter... well I just can't put it down!!!!
